Searching in DealCentral

The Dashboard Search function allows you to quickly and easily find any deal that has been entered into the DealCentral system.

1. Type the Deal ID or the Deal Description into the search box.

2. Click Search. The results are displayed on the Dashboard.

Notes on Searching

● If you type a Deal ID number (1038) or a Deal Description ("3/15/12 TPR LC All Natural Syrup") into the Search box, the system will search for the content exactly as it is typed (i.e. A search for 1038 will not return a result of 10382).

Important: If you type only numbers into the search box, the search will return only Deal ID results, not Deal Description results.

● If you do not know the exact Deal ID or Description, the percent symbol (%) can be used as a wild card value.

1. Type the portion of the Deal ID number or Description that you know.

2. Type % in any location in the search box to represent a variable value (i.e. 103% or %syrup%).

NOTE: The wild card will only function in the location it is placed. Searching for 103% or All Natural Syrup% will only return results that begin with "103" or "All Natural Syrup." A search for %1%03 will return any result that contains a 1 and ends with 03, and a search for %syrup% will return any result that contains the word "syrup."

● Click Reset. The Dashboard reverts to a full list of deals in the Requires Action view.

If you are not finding the results you want, use the Advanced Search function to search by a wider variety of deal attributes.
